The 89s are *not* an 80’s tribute band.

Or if they are, it’s filtered through a long, dusty lens of americana, brit-pop, folk and gritty rock. They hail from Lyons, CO - the tiny town with a big music scene.

The 89s play the songs of singer/songwriter Eben Grace, who’s influences range from Costello, Petty, Dylan, the Beatles to pretty much any other song that ever wiggled into his heart. Eben cut his teeth playing in bars in Colorado Springs while also studying fancy music in college. Bass and harmony singing is handled by Brian Schey, a composer / arranger / songwriter from CA, who still keeps his hands dirty on the 4 string. On the drums is Colin ‘Spanky’ Mahoney, a multi-threat player / producer / engineer. Joe Mazza plays guitar, sings harmony and brings his big chops and Nashville session man class to the show. Long-time Colorado singer, writer and percussion ace Giselle Collazo completes the lineup with her wide musicality and vocal prowess that always steals the show. The 89s come to play with open hearts and deliver an uplifting, fun show.

23’ has already been one for the books for indie-rock/alt.country singer/songwriter and troubadour Brad Byrd. After a successful string of appearances at sxsw, opening for long time friend Pete Yorn to 850+ at the legendary Pappy & Harriet’s, to a west coast tour w Grammy nominated and acclaimed songwriter and visual artist Joseph Arthur, there’s no wonder there’s a buzz around Byrd’s brand and in particular his newly released album “The Bright Lights Fade Away”.

With a consistent road and release history, Byrd has built up a momentum that is now attracting some of the biggest names and talents in the industry to want to work with him, both live and in the studio. (Byrd recently cut 4 new songs at the iconic LA based recording studio “Sunset Sound” with producer Bill Mims - who just wrapped recording Morrissey’s latest album in France) Legendary LA based radio dj/podcaster Nic Harcourt has featured songs off Byrd’s catalog throughout recent years and has been a believer.

For references; If you’re a fan of The War On Drugs, The Church, Kurt Vile, Pete Yorn, Ryan Adams, and Joseph Arthur you’ll likely enjoy what you see and hear.
